Remake Ad Campaigns for the Digital Age
“Our campaigns are a lot more work now. Our “Got Milk” campaign was based on the fact that milk made you sleep better and rebuilt muscles. So we created TV commercials where aliens came and abducted cows and took them back to their planet, because their bones were weak and they needed more sleep. Then we made a website for angry farmers, Cowabduction.com. We put up notices around the city about the missing cows. And we made another website promoting the aliens’ point of view. The campaign was such a success that we’re releasing it in theaters.”
This one just cracks me up. I loved that commercial series.
While this may seem totally unrelated to finances, I promise you it is. Just as Jeff Goodby’s firm needed to go outside of the box, we have to go outside of the box with our view of money, our spending habits, our debt reduction, and our determination to be financially free.
If you listen to the majority of the world it says, “Spend, spend, spend!” It says you’re a horrible parent if you don’t shower your kids with presents at Christmas. And it is says you’re not cool if you don’t go out and buy the new Apple 80 GB iPod video (aff.) It’s ridiculous!
If you want to succeed you have to be different! Don’t listen to marketers! Stick you to plan and become financially free!
