John Chow Likes to Make Money Too

My weekly update on How To Make Money On The Internet is taking a different swing this week. Instead of highlighting an opportunity to make money, I’m sharing an example of someone who makes a living online. Enter John Chow of John Chow Dot Com. John is a self proclaimed internet mogul who has been lovingly described as the root of all evil. Evil or not he is good at what he does.

John Chow, owner of The Tech Zone and TTZ Media, makes his living (a very good living I might add) solely through the internet. That’s all well and good, but what I love about John Chow is the fact that he shares all the details in his quest to monetize his blog. Every month he posts an update showing how much he made and how he did it. I love seeing someone who’s successful open up a little and share a few secrets.

Normally I don’t put the spotlight on blogs like this but I read John Chow’s blog nearly every day and I am in love. Very rarely am I bored with what John has to say. Head on over to John Chow Dot Com and check it out for yourself.

P.S. This is also a shameless promotion on my part as I get a linkback from the man himself.

Parlate Italiano? Ask For A Raise! Open Mic

Open micDo you speak Italian? Ask for a raise! Or not? I speak a little Spanish and it made me wonder if there would be any significant impact in my earnings if I could improve my skill. I did a little research and found conflicting views. Salary.com says that it won’t make an impact unless it is part of your primary job while University of Florida holds a different opinion on bilingual earnings.

What do you think? Does it improve your earnings? Does it matter if you take Spanish courses or the less popular Italian courses?
