So I am in the process of building several niche blogs for my affiliate marketing network. My biggest goal after writing some quality anchor content, is to generate some traffic. (Ya can’t make no money if ya ain’t got traffic)

One of the best ways to build traffic is to rank well in the search engine results for your target keywords. The biggest contributer to your search engine results is the quality and quantity of links pointing to your site. A great way to build quality links to your new blog is by leaving quality comments on other blogs in your niche.

Now, I’ve always struggled with coming up with relevant non-spammy comments that are unique. However, a great way to get around that and still get a back link is through the use of trackbacks.

I found a great video on Friday Traffic Report that gives a step by step walk through on how to use trackbacks to get more links and traffic.

Enjoy:

It’s always fun when you see your site popping up in Google’s search results. I remember the first time I saw WallerBlog come up on the first page of a Google search. It felt like I was legitimate, I had proved myself, I was successful. It’s a bit of an ego trip.

Anyways…I was doing some keyword research today. I went over to Shoemoney’s SERPs tool and found out it was down. No good. It’s a great tool. You type in your site and a keyword and this tool will tell give you the position that Google is currently listing your site for that keyword.

Since Shoe’s tool was down, I went digging for something comparable that I could use for some keyword research. Low and behold, I came across SeoDigger. SeoDigger spits out a list of keywords for which your site ranks high enough to be in Google Top 20.

Here are my results:

Check that out, number 1 for my name (that’s always good) and number 1 for “nerds making money”

I guess that proves it. I am a nerd making money!

I made over $4,500 profit from Market Leverage last month!

There probably is no ‘best way’ to use an online translation tool, but I have a method that works for me. I use this when translating into a language that I can not read at all. Anyone who has been paying attention knows they need to get on the Blogosphere bandwagon sooner than later.
I work with speakers, authors, coaches and consultants who are always on the lookout for effective ways to reach their market, gain visibility and establish credibility. One would be hard pressed to find something as easy and simple as blogging to achieve these outcomes.
Blogging can be fun or it can be a tedious process. Most people start off with a bang and then the sparkle will quickly sizzle as they get caught up in other activities.”

I’ve given in. I’ve jumped on the tweeting bandwagon. Twitter, the not quite so new internet fad, has drawn me into its fold. My joining was prompted by the musings of blog giants Darren Rowse and John Chow, both of which are active twitter-ers. These guys use twitter as a social networking/marketing tool. They tweet regular updates through the day highlighting new posts and other random happenings (The other day Problogger let his 6,600 followers know that his son poked him in the eye.)

Stealing Their Ideas

Well if twitter works for my favorite full-time bloggers, then it works for me too. I know that social networking is a big key to driving traffic to your blog. This is an area that I need to work on some more. So here’s my secret plan (shhh! Don’t tell anyone!) <secret plan>…I’m investigating the social networkings of all my favorite blogging heavyweights. I’m looking to see what works for them, what sites are driving traffic to their blogs and what is generating the most reader interaction. Twitter is my first attempt at this. </secret plan>

Are you Following Me?

Become one of my faithful followers on twitter – WallerBlogDotCm. When you become of followers, comment below and I’ll give you a shameless plug in a future post (free link love baby!)
