John Chow Likes to Make Money Too
My weekly update on How To Make Money On The Internet is taking a different swing this week. Instead of highlighting an opportunity to make money, I’m sharing an example of someone who makes a living online. Enter John Chow of John Chow Dot Com. John is a self proclaimed internet mogul who has been lovingly described as the root of all evil. Evil or not he is good at what he does.
John Chow, owner of The Tech Zone and TTZ Media, makes his living (a very good living I might add) solely through the internet. That’s all well and good, but what I love about John Chow is the fact that he shares all the details in his quest to monetize his blog. Every month he posts an update showing how much he made and how he did it. I love seeing someone who’s successful open up a little and share a few secrets.
Normally I don’t put the spotlight on blogs like this but I read John Chow’s blog nearly every day and I am in love. Very rarely am I bored with what John has to say. Head on over to John Chow Dot Com and check it out for yourself.
P.S. This is also a shameless promotion on my part as I get a linkback from the man himself.

Can I Make Money With AGLOCO?
Here’s the first of my weekly updates on my search to make money on the internet. A while back I introduced you to AGLOCO. AGLOCO is more or less an advertising company that is fully owned by its members. The whole concept is that when you sign up for the program, they will place a viewbar at the bottom of your browser that features privacy protection, spyware protection, phishing protection, member IM and voice communications, RSS feeds, broadcast communication, community tips and other functions. In turn you are paid for the time that you are on the internet.
The program is still in testing and the viewbar hasn’t been released yet, however AGLOCO (aff) is encouraging its members to continue to build their downline.
Out of the many programs I’ve tried in the past, this is one of the more interesting ones. The concept is very simple. You get paid to surf the internet. While your personal earnings are minscule, with a large network, you can earn a nice income. There are several members that have already built an incredible network. For instance, John Chow has recruited over 3,000 members and he is looking to make 5 figures per month in this program.
I haven’t done so hot. I have a whole 2 people in my network. At this point I’m not looking at making any more than $20 per month on this deal.
Bottom Line
AGLOCO looks promising, but I won’t know until the viewbar is released in a few weeks. The big factor in this equasion, however, is my network. If AGLOCO sounds interesting to you sign up here (aff.) It only takes about 60 seconds and dosen’t cost you a thing.

How Can I Make Money On The Internet?
How can I [tag]make money[/tag] on the [tag]internet[/tag]? That is a question I ask myself nearly every day. You see, I love [tag]working from home[/tag]. I’ve had several jobs where I was able to work from home and I loved it. But, for one reason or another, those income streams fell to the wayside and I haven’t been able to sustain a living at home.
I’m a Failure!
I’ve had businesses ranging from an online paintball store to web page design to graphic design, which have all failed. I’ve tried all sorts of affiliate programs and failed. I’ve tried some freelance consulting, which, for the most part, has failed.
But I’m Bouncing Back!
Well, nearly 3 months ago I decided to try my hand in making money on the internet again. One avenue I’ve been working on is [tag]monetizing[/tag] my blog. I know some people don’t like [tag]ads[/tag] on blogs, and I don’t really like them either. But I’ve tried to make them blend in with the page so they aren’t your typical “click me, click me, click me” type of ads.
My Inspiration
I’ve also started looking into other avenues of revenue from the internet. On my journey I’ve come across blogs like “The 15k Challenge” where a guy took the challenge of turning $150 into $15,000 in only 30 days using [tag]internet marketing[/tag] techniques (he came pretty close.) Stuff like that inspires me. I see that money really can be made on the internet.
So I’ve debated back and forth on whether to blog on this topic or not. And as you can see, I’ve decided to give it a whirl. So come with me on my journey to make a living using the internet.
My Plan
From this post on I will update you on my progress at least once per week. So in addition to my normal posts on personal finance look for a regular update showing my success along with tips to help you join me in earing some extra [tag]cash[/tag] on the internet.
Do you have any tips for me? Please let me know if you’ve found something that works!
